    Random work day

    DSC01839, originally uploaded by AparnaSathi.

Dress: Esprit. Come fall and I’m going to wear this dress with full length black leggings just like the model did :D
Shoes: Patent leather slingbacks from Naturalizer
    Watch: Guess
Bag: Givenchy. This suede leather bag came with a perfume set that was my husband’s birthday present for me back in 2005. Its nice and big enough to fit my Thinkpad work computer. To take a closer look at the bag, hop on over to my photo stream.( Anyone know how to add multiple photos using Flickr blog?? )

I’ve had this dress for a while now..so I guess that’s why they don’t have it on the website! Let me call the customer service and see if I can find the SKU# for you.

    Ubiquitous shirtdress

    DSC01836, originally uploaded by AparnaSathi.

    no kidding!
anyway, this one is from Macy’s.
Shoes: Naturalizer. These are my fav and believe it or not, most comfy work shoes. They are lovely plaid with thin red stripes…I love them. They are more than two years old and I take good care of them..as in I don’t wear them when I’m driving because it ruins the back of the shoes.
Watch: Guess. I was looking for a big, chunky, glitzy watch and found this one at Macy’s last fall.

I love both the dress and shoes! Could you put up a closeup of the shoes?

Thanks Aditi. The picture is now up on my flickr photo stream.

Very nice. How does it look with a belt of another colour?

    • Aparna 4:17 pm on July 30, 2010 Permalink | Reply

Thanks ET. I wouldn’t know. I don’t own a single belt. The one I do wear with Jeans is husband’s old brown leather belt :P

    Summery

    DSC01802, originally uploaded by AparnaSathi.

This is what I wore to a Saturday trip to Farmers Market
Top: Banana Republic. Its lighter than feather and I absolutely adore the print and the detail on the hands. I wore a Spaghetti strap sports bra underneath.
    Shorts: Dockers
    Shoes: Naturalizer
    Bag: Guess
Home Decor: my wooden giraffes Liberty and Victoria from Africa. Unfortunately, you can only see Victoria’s bum ..LOL

    Vegas

    DSC01662, originally uploaded by AparnaSathi.

Day three in Vegas. We did the usual drinking, casino hopping and also made an impromptu visit to Red Rock canyon. Can you imagine my plight if I were wearing heels!

    Top: NY&Co
    Skirt: Banana Republic
    Watch: Fossil
Shoes: Target. These are comfy and cute. The suede is super soft and the sole is cushioned which make ‘em perfect for a long day of walking, Although, now that I look at the picture, I think they make me look a little shorter than 5-8′ . Maybe its the angle of the picture.

The sandals look gorgeous. Are they blue?

    • Aparna 7:06 am on June 4, 2010 Permalink | Reply

They are Grey. Target has them in Black and Beige , if you are interested.

    • f 1:16 am on June 9, 2010 Permalink | Reply

Thank you Aparna, but I don’t live in the land of Target. That said, I’ve seen some here too. I’ve got to be careful though, I’m not as blessed as you in the leg department :)

    Vegas Vacay

    DSC01594, originally uploaded by AparnaSathi.

This outfit was inspired by Kate Hudson when she was a guest on The Ellen show. Ideally, I would have worn mile high heels to add a feminine touch to the whole boyfriend jean look, but I had a lot of walking to do.
    T Shirt : A&F
    Vest: THE LIMITED
    Boyfriend Jeans: Old Navy
    Bag: Kohl’s
    Watch: Fossil
    Shoes: Kohl’s.

Nice! I like the burnout tees that have flooded the stores recently. This is a nice way to cover up though…they tend to be really sheer!
You look so comfy and nonchalant!

    Vegas

    DSC01619, originally uploaded by AparnaSathi.

As it is always in Vegas, there was a lot of walking and even more drinking. I needed to me comfortable, airy and cool.
Dress: Apt 9 from Kohl’s. This dress came with a belt which unfortunately is hidden behind my hand.
Shoes: Kohl’s. I like the combination of white and gold here.
    Bag: Coach

    White Christmas!

    DSC01540, originally uploaded by AparnaSathi.

Because I was adamant I won’t buy a dress just for a Christmas party, I dug out this from my closet. I bought this dress at Windsor (LA) back in 2006.Its a lovely holiday white with navy blue pattern.
Shoes: Patent leather sling backs from Naturalizer
    Bag: Nine West

    Love from NYC

    Posing, originally uploaded by AparnaSathi.

Finally!! Ok lets talk about this!
Top: Or should I say Tops…because I have three basic GAP turtleneck tops under a basic black Ann Taylor V neck cardigan. New York was warmer than we expected so I decided I’ll ditch my peacoat. But the temp dropped to 20F and I was so glad I was carrying this wrap. Its from Lepakshi, Hyderabad.
Jeans: Skinny Jeans from GAP. I’m pear shaped so I stay away from Skinny jeans but I took a chance here!
Boots: This is my fav part. These boots are from Naturalizer. The only brand I can trust for both fashion and comfort. If you’re only hearing about this brand from me, you’ll be glad you read this post..These boots are non leather with about 2.5 inch heels. Its Unbelievable how light and comfortable these are!
Accessories: Shades from Coach and bag from Kohls.
