    I love cheap things!

On a nice Sunny Sunday, I went dress shopping with my dear fifi.
Luckily found this cotton over-sized stripe shirt at H&M for only $6.99,  just for the price of it, I have to get it and make it work!

So as my dear fifi suggested wear it with a belt, and you can pretty much match with leggings or skinny jeans. I personally like leggings better, because I don’t like too much stuff on my waist (if I am already wearing a belt on the shirt, then the button on my jeans would be too much stuff on my waist.)

Here are some looks of it. The shirt comes in 3 colors, grey+white stripe (which the one I got), white+pink stripe, white+black stripe.

    yet another blazer day

It’s been so crazy for these days and also because it was the year end, there were so many things to catch on…so apologize for haven’t been able to post anything up here.

I’ve been transfered to work on a different show now, with the start time 5am everyday, I literally lost the patience and time to dress up+take pictures every day…but then I realize…if I don’t take the time to dress up myself…then what do I really have time for…so I started my outfit picking the previous night, so the next morning I can just pick up and go. The weather hasn’t been great here in Toronto, but with a very warm parka I can wear anything inside.

Starting with my closet cleaning 2 weeks ago. I was going through my clothes and find out I have way too many blazers…well I LOVE blazers…and every time when I see it’s on sale…then it is a MUST BUY…

This is the full look, I’ve been in love with knee high boots lately, and it makes my legs looks straight and in some way, makes me look taller :)

    ———————————————————————————————–

    • Blazer: Urban Outfitters.
It is actually not a regular blazer, it is made of silk…(but oddly you can’t really tell when you just looking at it), because it is not the regular material, so it is very soft and casually shaped. It doesn’t have to be uncomfortable to wear a blazer. That’s why I love this one, it has the blazer look, but a very much a silk top feeling.
    • Tank Top: Urban Outfitters.
I know I know I can’t resist Urban Outfitters, almost 80% of my outfit comes from that store, and the other 20%, is from H&M. This is a double layered tank top, the inside layer is cotton material, and tight tank top so it fits perfect on me, it is also like a basic black layer you put on. The outside layer is a mix of color blue prints, and it is silk material so it is very comfortable. The outside layer is a little bit big, but looks very casual inside the blazer.
    • Boots: Urban Outfitters
It is a pair of Knee Hight Suede grey boots. I’ve never had a pair of suede boots, but it turned out surprisingly comfortable and looks nice. It is a bit lose on the legs so sometimes it will fall, but that’s okay, it creates the natural look.
    • Leggings: TNA
Well….Leggings are like my thing now…I can’t go anywhere without them…haha

    Holiday Outfit

Unfortunetly I have to work this holiday season. So I am thinking that I can dress up to work.
I picked out some outfit here but not sure what to wear. Or anyone have any nice ideas?

    Last warm winter day

Here is a outfit I put together for the last warm day in winter.

It is the leather jacket that I was debating whether I should keep it or not earlier…well, I kept it because it went on sale, and I got my money difference back. It is such a useful leather jacket because I almost wore it everytime and everywhere. This is just a simple grey leggings (i love leggings) with a pair of black knee hight boots. Navy blue shirt with the leather jacket.

    Earlier Picture (aug-20-2009)

I love the trend for this summer pants. It’s that kind of tight on the bottom, but lose at the top. I found one at Urban Outfitters on sale for $9.99, so no doubt I got it!!

I guess it’s hard to match pants like this up since I don’t wear sleeveless tops, so I have to find some jacket to wear on top it, so here is a simple outfit I put together.

A white short sleeve t-shirt with a denim jacket, and the grey pants with wedges makes me look taller. With my knock off Chanel bag, it doesn’t look too much, but at the same time, it looks classy.

I’d wondered how to wear these pants. They look pretty good on you. Could be cause you’re fearless.

I always liked it, I used to have a black one, and my friend liked it so she took it from me. I can’t find a black one, so ended up buying a grey one. I have a bigger hip so I thought this would cover that…hehe

    Cardigan Season

It is hard to wear clothes for this season because everything I wear underneath has to fit in the coat, and I don’t want it to look like a too puffy coat, so really, layers are important. It has to be right, and it can not be much.

The grey cardigan/sweater is from H&M, it is a very simple and easy sweater and has no buttons, no zippers, just like a rug, very slight and fit.

With a black pair of skinny jeans, I can just wear a pair of any boots to go with it.

    Flannels

    Holy!! It’s been a while and I have nothing…

September and October were definitely two crazy months for me, because I was setting up a network show across Canada, and luckily I got to be in the promo across Canada. Very strange though but fancy enough for me, I can’t even believe it…

Anyways, enough chitchat, I am sure everyone has already forgot about me, apology to everybody, just so you guys know, I come here all the time to see all your styles! And I just haven’t been able to wear anything impressive. Getting up everyday at 4am definitely doesn’t give me any motivation to dress up…

Okay, here are some fashion infos and tips…

I am a big sucker for flannels, and weirdly enough flannels are the big hit for this year’s fall fashion. I am debating which one should I get for myself because I just crazily fall in love with these American Eagle plaid shirts.

    Shirt #1

    Shirt #2

    Shirt #3

    Shirt #4

Besides flannels, I am thinking to getting a knit vest for this winter, it feels like a trend but hasn’t really started yet. I got one from Hollister just for a test try, and it is still on the way shipping to me, so I will take a shot as soon as I get it, and to see how it will look on me.

And this fall, this is my fall jacket, besides my leather jacket, I needed something casual so when I was doing sports event, it doesn’t feel so fancy.

    Winter Fashion

    starts from here….

seems like there is no fall in Canada anymore, it was 20 degrees yesterday and all of sudden dropped down to 8 degrees and I had to have scarf, cardigan, boots, and jackets on.

The grey cardigan is from FCUK and it is very useful, you can wear it in the summer, and in the winter. The graffiti jeans is from Zara, and it is a very soft cotton material so I am not sure if it is good for winter. Slightly thin though.

    Boots as usual from UGG.

Scarf is from Louis Vuitton. It’s a gift from my mom.

You pull off cardigans so well. The few times I’ve tried them, I look like a scarecrow.

    • Ella Renee 3:49 am on October 2, 2009 Permalink

      Thanks.
This cardigan is actually an oversized one, so it won’t look too serious on me.
Because I have a slightly chubby body so I can’t wear anything that’s too tight on me tha shows my shape. You can try those Zara cardigans, they are perfect for you and they are not too long and not too overwelmed, I am sure you will look good in it.

    Sep.21st,2009.

I haven’t been updating for a while, because the weather changes too quick, I’ve been sick and in bed for couple days. I had to go to the drug store today so I decided to take some snaps while I am going there.

To be honest, I love fall clothes too.

I know summer is slowly going away from me, and since I am in Canada there is such a crazy storm winter in front of me. So I am going to take my chances to wear all my summer/fall clothes the last round.

Here is a conclusion for the day.

    • T-Shirt: from ZARA. It is a simple white long sleeves shirt with some crazy bunny prints on the front. It is 100% cotton so the shape is very casual, but very comfortable.
    • Vest: from b+ab Hong Kong. It is beige color and the material is kinda fluffy. Very soft, doesn’t necessary have a shape. So it is very casual.
    • Jeans: from American Eagle. Apparently American Eagle is the only place I get jeans that fits me perfectly. Other brand I go to, they either fit on the ass but very wide waist, or fit on the waist very long on the legs. American Eagle has the perfect jeans for my shape and they have pants in “Shorts” so it doesn’t have to be too long to wear.
    • Boots: from UGG. They are chestnut classic mini. I like them because they are not too high on the ankle so it doesn’t look too chubby on the legs.
    • Bags: knock off of Chanel.
